It’s an especially sad day for Claire Place as we have lost one of our own. I started this business 7 years ago to provide a peaceful passing at home for companion animals. Unfortunately, my own cat was not provided with this gift at the end of his life.
Griffin was a big orange tabby, a rescue cat that I first met 10 years ago when he “purred off the needle” when I was anesthetizing him for his neuter surgery. He stole my heart and I took him home a few days later, much to the delight of my children, who were 1 and 3 years old at the time. He became our much-loved family member whose purr would fill the house. We would often almost trip over him as he sprawled out to get a rub on his ample belly. He was not a big fan of other cats but enjoyed the company of many dogs, and loved when people came to visit. He would chat to them as he tried to lure them over to the cupboard where his food was kept. He had a big personality and a big presence in our home. But he was born to be outside and would not have it any other way. On Tuesday, July 31st 2018 he was taken from us and killed by a wild animal. We are heartbroken. Rest in peace sweet Griff, we love you.
